"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
~ 2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV ~

Hello and welcome to the September Issue of FaithWriters' Magazine--which just happens to mark our second anniversary. Thank you to every FaithWriters' Magazine reader and contributor who have all helped to make these last 24 Issues so special.

So now, here we go into our third, wonderful year, and what better place to start than on our front page....

One of the best things about being Editor of FaithWriters' Magazine is the opportunity to "discover" new writers, and our front page featured author, Tanya Dennis, definitely was a "find," as far as I'm concerned. From the second I started reading her article, "This is My Life," I was hooked.

This is My Life.
By Tanya Dennis

"Alright, all I need now are your keys."

Slowly, reluctantly I handed the keys to my husband. The keys to my sweet SUV. I loved that car. As I watched my husband drive away with it, I started to cry. More than that. I was sobbing. We were trading in our hip little Honda for a monstrosity: a minivan.

There were several things I promised myself in college. In addition to living without regrets, I promised myself that I would never be domestic. I would never be one of those middle-aged suburban women with decade-specific style who look forward to Tupperware parties.

With good humor, transparent honesty, and a heart full of love, Tanya shares a little snippet of her family life that will leave you encouraged and blessed. If you have ever wondered if you are simply marking time as God's best plans for your life disappear into the sunset, then this is for you.

Following on from that same idea, we have a very special short story by William Price in our Heaven Bound section. William hasn't been at FaithWriters all that long, but he has very quickly become a dearly loved member of the community. When he was a little too late to enter one of his stories in the Writing Challenge a few weeks ago, I quickly grabbed it for FaithWriters' Magazine. It was much too good to waste. This is for everyone who has ever thought that they aren't making any difference. Welcome to radio station "W.A.L.K."

This month we welcome back a FaithWriters' Magazine favorite, Joanne Malley, with A Merry Heart message in "Pick Six, or Pick the Truth." There's a human stampede in Joanne's town--and it happens whenever the lottery is about to be drawn. Stand back before you get trampled in the rush!

Another FaithWriters' favorite, Benjamin Stephens, returns this month in Light in the Darkness, with a very moving true story about the consequences of youth, meeting the grace of God in maturity. Don't miss reading "From Where She Fits." It is a message that, I am sure, will be an encouragement for many readers who are praying faithfully for their prodigals.

With many students returning to school this month, we have a very special poem in this month's Rhythm of Life. Even if you aren't normally interested in poetry, you can't miss this. It is a story that makes a knock-out point. " Once you've read "The Steeple and the Schoolhouse," I know that you will want your friends and family to read it too.

As always, these are just some of the highlights of this month's FaithWriters' Magazine. There's still plenty more to read and enjoy in every page of our September Issue. Remember, if you read something that blesses you in some way, why not take a moment to send the author a message using the form on our Letters' page. I know they would love to hear from you.

Until next time, God bless and happy reading!
