Mary's Little Lamb
By Mitzi Smith

Mary had a Little Lamb,
He washed me white as snow.
He came to earth in human form,
He died to make me whole.

Mary watched Him as He grew,
At work and as He played.
The Lamb, He was the perfect one,
He made for us the way.

No more would we go through priests,
No animals to slay.
He gave the perfect sacrifice,
When He died that day.

He gave His life unselfishly,
So we could always live.
His blood, it washes every stain,
Eternal life's our gift.

Now we can approach the throne,
With thanksgiving and praise.
Forever we will reign with Him,
Our voices we will raise.

No longer guilty of my sin,
He gave to me new life.
Now I know Him as my Lord,
Mary's Lamb was Christ.

Mitzi Smith is a wife and a mother of three. She enjoys leading praise and worship at her local church in central Mississippi. "When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty" (Jeremiah 15:16).
