Computer Coupons and Online Shopping
By Karen Treharne

Everyone wants to find a bargain, to buy on sale, or save a buck, right?  Well, if you're looking for savings on groceries, there are good deals to be found online, but be advised that not all sites are equal.

When you search for grocery coupons on the Internet, you'll find that most web sites make you answer dozens of personal questions before allowing you to hit the PRINT button. This is a nuisance to say the least.

There is good news though. There are sites that offer great savings – without the nosy inquiries. Here are a couple of sites to get you started. The online sources listed here are predominately for North America, however there are many available now in most countries worldwide.

SmartSource.com http://coupons.smartsource.com/ is one and it has the largest number. You'll get them fast and they also supply the coupons found on http://www.goodhousekeeping.com

The second source is ValPak.com http://www.valpak.com ...YES, it's the same company that you're probably familiar with that arrives through the mail in a blue envelope filled with neighborhood savings.  Only now you can access the same deals on the Internet; just type in your zip code and choose from the dozens of local bargain buys that come up on screen.

Coupon shopping is just the tip of the iceberg. There are also many Christian shops online, department stores and so much more. In fact you can get everything you need from a house, car and boat to furniture, clothing, toys and paperclips.

Here are some Christian online shopping sites:

Christian Book.com http://www.christianbook.com is a wonderful International online Christian Bookshop, which caters for all our needs; books, videos and DVD’s, software, music, gifts and so much more.

Koorong.com http://www.koorong.com is Australia’s leading Christian Store. They have fantastic monthly sales and can supply all your personal and church needs at very reasonable prices.

UK Christian Bookshops Directory http://shop.christianbookshops.org.uk/ shop is from the United Kingdom. They sell all the latest books available.

Some major department stores can also be found online for your shopping convenience.

Target (North America, Australia, New Zealand etc),
K-Mart (North America, Australia, New Zealand etc),
Walmart (North America),
Shoppers (North America),
Harrods (United Kingdom),
Marks & Spencers (United Kingdom & North America)

… Just to name a few.

Other Christian Sites of Interest:

The Christian Noble Children's Foundation  http://www.cncf.org is an international partnership of people dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, and protection from economic and sexual exploitation. The Foundation seeks to maximize the potential of each child within the context of the family and the community, and always with love and respect. It has helped more than 140,000 children.

Habitat for Humanity http://www.habitat.org is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization that welcomes all people to help build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with those who are in need of adequate shelter.  Since 1976, Habitat has built more than 150,000 houses in more than 89 countries, including some 50,000 houses across the U.S.

Guideposts Magazine http://www.guideposts.com/_lp/index.asp was founded in 1945 by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and his wife, Ruth Stafford Peale.  Guideposts is committed to communicating positive principles for daily life, publishes magazines and books and provides outreach ministry services that demonstrate the benefits of combining faith and positive thinking.

One tip that may save you time and trouble BEFORE heading to your computer is to ask your local grocers and/or department stores if they even accept web coupons. Some stores decline to do so because they've been stung by counterfeiters in the past.

Happy bargain hunting and coupon clicking!
