lifeThe Rhythm of Christmas
By Bill Shurkey

"Gloria in excelsis Deo!"

"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:10-11, KJV)

The angel of the Lord proclaimed this good news over 2,000 years ago and it's still proclaimed today. The angel's voice echoes in ringing church bells around the world. Choirs sing it. Pastors preach it and Christians share the message with a dying world. The Savior has come! That one unselfish act of the Father has made Christmas the single most important day in the history of mankind. Both young and old alike look anxiously forward to its yearly celebration.

Gift giving and decorations are widespread expressions of this joyous occasion, as well as food, drink, family and friends.

The Gift I Wish For All of You This Christmas
By Deborah Adams

The gift I wish for all of you this Christmas:
Recognize that there are those
Who know your faults and still call you friend,
Love you unconditionally,
Strangers that bring blessings to your everyday life,
Special loved ones, who will be beside you at this life's end.

The gift I wish for all of you this Christmas:
Search within yourself and understand
No one can be perfect, but we all can improve.
Our weaknesses divide us, but our strengths unite us.
Everyone has a talent, value, and something to offer the world.
Even a little faith can start a mountain to move.

Manger King
By John Hunt

Verse one:

Manger King
Listening
To the sound that angels sing
All the while heaven smiles upon your face

First Chorus:

Oh, Holy Child
By birth a king
Heaven's royal offering
You came in humble packaging, your gift of love to bring

Verse Two:

Mary sings
Whispering
To the Child, now sleeping
All the while heaven smiles upon this place

Second Chorus:

Oh, Son of God
By birth a king
Heaven's royal offering
Salvation to the world to bring, we worship you, Manger King

Instrumental accompaniment has been composed for "The Manger King," and an mp3 of the song can be downloaded from http://imageofthebeast.net/manger.mp3
